EEEKKK I am so excited this day finally arrived!
I feel like a kid in a candy store!!
It is mine and Johannah's very first Recipe Club Link up party!!
We hope you grab our graphic and link up with us!!
Today I am sharing one of my crew's favorite meals!
It is from the Six Sister's 12 days of Christmas Cookbook,
but we eat it all year LONG!! :)
Sticky Sesame Chicken
Here is what you will need:
1.5-2 lbs of Frozen Popcorn Chicken
6 tablespoons of honey
4 tablespoons of ketchup
4 tablespoons of granulated sugar
2 tablespoons of white distilled vinegar
2 tablespoons of soy sauce
salt and pepper to taste
2-3 green onions, chopped, for garnishing
Sesame seeds, for garnishing
6 cups of cooked rice
Cook your popcorn chicken according to the package directions.
In a sauce pan over medium heat, whisk together the honey, ketchup, sugar, vinegar, soy sauce, salt and pepper. Bring the sauce to a boil while stirring, reduce heat, and simmer a few minutes until sauce thickens.
After I got my sauce all whisked together, I made my rice!
After my popcorn chicken was cooked, I put it in my favorite mixing bowls and poured the sauce over the chicken!
I mixed it together really well!! I wanted to make sure my chicken was covered in that yummy sauce! :)
After it was mixed all together, I added my green onions and sesame seeds and gave it another good mix!
Once my rice was ready, I dished some up in a bowl and topped with the "Sticky Sesame Chicken"
SO YUMMY!
These Sweet Sisters really know how to make delicious and easy meals!!
