If you are a long time reader, then you may remember that I have wanted to start using Essential Oils more often in my house.
I was so excited to receive my Simply Earth Essential Oil Recipe Box.
I mean just look what came in it. My FAVORITE Essential oil is Peppermint.
I also recieved this AWESOME bonus box. Not pictured is a few more jars, bottles, and rollers.
I was so excited to try my hand at making some of the awesome recipe cards that were included in my box.
The past few mornings, I have been waking up very congested and stuffy. Instead of reaching for my normal decongested. I have been applying this congestion support roll on to my wrist and inhaling as I read my daily devotionals and enjoy my morning coffee. The Peppermint oil in this oil blend is amazing for opening my sinuses right up!
Ella helped me make the Vanilla Mint Lip Scrub. We both used it and our lips felt so soft afterward. We decided we will be making her teachers each a lip scrub for Christmas. We plan to also make them the Breathe Easy Bath Salts. Add in a pair of fuzzy socks and you got an "at home spa night" basket!
When Ben and I first got married and when the kids were babies, we would always buy a real tree. We had a tradition; we would go eat Japanese and then make our way to Home Depot to pick out the "perfect" tree. After many years of vacuuming up all the pine needles and trying to find a place to take our dead Christmas tree, we opted for an artificial one. The one thing I missed the most about our real Christmas tree was the smell of it. I started diffusing this blend to help make me think we have a real Christmas tree in the house. 😉 but seriously it smells like Christmas!
I mentioned earlier that I have been waking up pretty congested in the mornings. I made this Cold Support Chest Rub. I put it on my chest Tuesday night before I went to bed. Y'all it was AWESOME.
I LOVE that Simply Earth gives 13% of their profits to organizations. For the month of December, they are giving 13% to help STOP human trafficking.
To melt the beeswax and coconut oil I used this method because I do not have a double boiler! Worked like a charm.
The last project that we made from the recipe cards were the bath bombs. I got all of our supplies ready...
My little assistant got to work on mixing the ingredients.
We used a spray bottle to add in small amounts of water but we still added to much water and our bath bombs didn't form. It was to "wet". We learned from our mistake and are ready to try and make them again! They will be perfect added to our "spa baskets" for Christmas gifts!
