Our Week with Prom Dress Shopping, Snow Days, and The Fox Theatre.

Hey Y'all! Happy Tuesday! I hope your week is off to a great start. I am recapping last week and this past weekend.

Monday, January 20th-

Ben to the office and coffee and Jesus for me. The kids were out of school for MLK Day. Ella and I left the house around 9:30 to start prom dress shopping. We started in Monroe but the store was closed so we left there and drove to Girly Girl in Buford. We got there at 11:05 and had to wait an hour for a sales associate to help us. The store was PACKED! Ella tried on the following dresses at Girly Girl. We didn't buy one and we left in tears.

When we left Girly Girl a little before 1PM, we were starving so Ella and I went to Olive Garden for lunch. At lunch we decided to drive to Lake Hartwell area to Dressing Dreams. It was such a better experience. No wait for a sales associate to help us and a much bigger store so we were not constantly bumping into other people.

Here are the dresses she tried on at Dressing Dreams...

and here is the dress that we ended up buying! She loves it! She finally gets to have her "Belle" moment.

We picked up Jersey Mike's on the way home and got home a little before 6PM. After we ate, I did a few things around the house and crawled into the bed while Ben and I watched the end of the Inauguration. We all crashed early.

Tuesday, January 21st-

Ben to the office, coffee and Jesus for me, Ella to school, Ian did his online classes, and I left a little after 9AM for my dermatologist appointment. On my way home, I stopped by Publix to grab a few things to get us through the next day or so since more snow was on the way.

It started snowing around 3:30. Ben sent his team home right around 4 and it took him 2 hours to get home.

I cooked tacos and fajitas that evening for dinner. I cleaned up, showered, and crawled into bed.

Ella checked out of school around 1:30 just in case it started snowing earlier. I did not want her driving in that mess.

I got this picture from her earlier in the day.

I sent this picture to Stephanie because a while back she sent me a meme that said something like "if cooking dinner at home at 5:30 in my pjs and drinking wine, is wrong than I don't want to be right! HA

Wednesday, January 22nd-

It was a snow day so we all slept in. I got up and cooked pancakes and bacon for breakfast. Ben did get ready and headed to Dave and Busters for his sales kick off meeting. He said the main roads were ok but the side roads/back roads were very icy. The kids and I were pretty lazy for most of the day. Ian did do some laundry since him and Ben were headed to St. Simons on Thursday morning.

By 4:45, this is what we were still doing....

sitting on the couch.

I cooked lemon pepper chicken, baked potatoes, and green beans for dinner. I cleaned up and just chilled for the rest of the evening.

Thursday, January 23rd-

Ben and Ian left the house at 5:30 to head to St. Simons for Ben to play in a USAM tour golf tournament at Sea Island.

I went back to bed since it was another snow day for Ella. I got up around 8am, coffee and Jesus, started laundry, made my bed, etc. The went to workout from 10-11.

We got this picture from Ian. They could not believe how much snow the Savannah area had gotten.

They made it safely to St. Simons. After I worked out, Ella and I met my sister and my mom for lunch at a local mexican restaurant.
After lunch, I went to get gas, drop off a bag to Goodwill, and then to Costco. I got home around 4 and pretty much did nothing for the rest of the evening except make my grocery list.

Friday, January 24th-

Coffee and Jesus for me, Ella went to school, and then I went to the gym. I sent this picture to Ella because I think Trixie was missing having her home with her for so many days.

Once I got home from the gym, I sat down at the computer to do some work and I looked over and saw these two! HA

Then we got this picture from Ella! 🙅 She said she did it for Ian because she had the same teacher as him and he still has the same snake and Ian took a picture with the snake, John Peter the Farmer!

Here is Ian with the snake in 2023....

So gross and it gives me the willies just looking at the pictures.

I did get ready and head to lunch and shopping with Talia. I got this picture from Ian asking who he looked like...

His Father.

I sent him this picture back and I got an "Oh Lord"

Here is just a preview of an upcoming bar cart.

I was home for about an hour before Leigh Anne picked me up for dinner and The Fox!

We left at intermission.

LA dropped me off at the house around 10:40 and she got home a little before 11pm. I crashed. Ella was at a friends house.

Saturday, January 25th-

Coffee and Jesus for me, Ella was at a friends, and the boys were in St. Simons. It was a day of relaxation and productive for me.

Trixie was on board for the relaxtion part. Ian's room.

Then Trixie was all big and bad when she came face to face with Little Cat.

Ben sent us this picture of their sunset. So beautiful.

Sunday, January 26th-

Boys were still in St. Simons so Ella and I got up and ready! Headed to church at 9:15 and then she served and I went to Publix, I got home and put up groceries, then to Legends for lunch, then the funeral home for George. I got home around 5:15. did a few things and then the boys got home. They unpacked and we all crashed.
