Our with A Spa Day, Celebrating my Birthday, and A SNOW Day.

Happy Monday Y'all! We had a SNOW weekend! I am recapping last week and this past weekend.

Monday, January 6th- 

Ben to the office, Coffee and Jesus for me, Ella back to school, I went to workout, I stopped by Publix, got home, and did a few things like laundry, blog, and order dogs medicine. 

Ben got his haircut after work, we had lemon pepper chicken, green beans, and salad for dinner. I cleaned up, showered, skin care, the couch, and then crashed. 

Tuesday, January 7th- 

Ben to the office, Coffee and Jesus for me, and Ella to school. When I woke up, my neck was hurting. I guess I slept on it wrong. I did take some motrin and once it kicked in, I cleaned out the fridge, the laundry closet, and did a clean sweep of the house. Ian went to help Grammy take some items to her storage unit. 

Ella went to LB's to get ready for the basketball game, I made tacos for Ian and I, we ate, he went to the game, and Ben met them there. My neck was still hurting and it gave me such a headache so I curled up on the couch with a fire. I put tiger balm and used my RLT on my neck while I just chilled. Ian got home and I soon went to bed. Ben and Ella got home after they went to Taco Bell after the basketball game. I was almost asleep when they got home and wanted to tell me all about the game! HA I heard some of it!

Wednesday, January 8th- 

Ben to the office, Coffee and Jesus for me, Ella to school, I went to workout, Ian went to take Grammy to run a few errands. 

Once I got home from working out, I did a few house chores, got ready, and headed to Legends to start discussing the menu for the YL golf tournament. 

I got home and was doing a little computer work when I found out that a student at Ella's school brought a gun to school just 4 short months after the massive school shooting on September 4th. 

Y'all I was in shock and in disbelief. We got an email that a student was arrested and then we got an email that school was canceled for Thursday. I don't know what to do to fix this issue but I know something needs to change. 

We ended up going on with our evening as planned to celebrate my birthday at Ninja. We met there at 6:30. Ben was a little late due to an accident on 85. He was in stand still traffic. Y'all it was a deja vu moment.  

Love these people. Ian went to the bathroom and LA was taking pictures. 

We got home, chilled, and then crashed. 

Thursday, January 9th- My 45th Birthday. 

Ben to the office, Coffee and Jesus for me, then I headed to the gym. The kids slept in.

I went to the spa for a pedicure and lunch. I took a 30 minute nap and then headed home to pick up Duke's medicine and to Publix for a few things before the snow came. 

Home to get ready and we headed to Addison's basketball game at 6pm. It was The Battle of Barrow game. Our 2 local high schools played against each other. We cheered for the opposite team because of Addison.

Me, Ben, Ian, and Kathryn left at halftime of the boys game. We stopped at CFA for a late dinner. Ella and her friends went to Addisons to hopefully get snowed in. We got home, I washed my face, started the coffee for the next morning, fed my sourdough starter, and then curled up on the couch with a glass of wine and scrolled IG. I went to bed around 11. That 30 minute nap messed me up. 

Friday- January 10th- 

No alarm. It was awesome. However, Ben and I were up by 7:15. I peaked out the window and it was SNOWING! He got ready because he had a morning full of work calls. I took the dogs out to potty and feed them. Gave Duke his medicine. Poured my coffee and went to my chair for Coffee and Jesus. 

Ben's crazy self went outside for his Teams call. 

We got a good bit of snow. 

Ian's friend, Hunter, drove his 4 wheeler over to the house and they pulled each other around on the kneeboard. 😝

Stephanie sent me these pictures of the girls. 

I cooked a breakfast of pancakes and bacon. Cleaned up the kitchen and then put on a pot of Taco Soup. 

Ian started us a fire and Duke was loving it. 

I also started dog food to cook. Then Trixie and I curled up on the bed for a nap while Ben played Playstation. 

After we woke up, I emptied the dishwasher, loaded it back, and then headed to the craft room. I filled 2 Etsy orders and typed out this blog post. I also set my planner up for the next 2 weeks. 

I didn't cook dinner because we ate taco soup so late and then we all just kind of snacked for the rest of the evening. 

Is it sad that by 7pm, I was ready for bed???

It was a fun snow day!! 

Saturday, January 11th- Duke's 12th Birthday. 

I got up around 8am. after going back to bed when the pups woke me up to go potty around 4am. 

I fed Duke and gave him his medicine. I poured my coffee and went to my chair for Coffee and Jesus time. 

Ben got up around 9:45. Ian and Kathryn finally got up around 10:30, and Trixie finally got out of bed around 11! HA 

We enjoyed a slow morning. I picked up a little bit. We left stuff everywhere on Friday! I started laundry, made a grilled cheese for lunch, Ben went to Addison's to follow Ella home. The main roads were pretty clear. 

We just enjoyed a slow morning/afternoon. Around 3:20, Ben went to pick us up wings for dinner. We ate an early dinner and then just picked for the rest of the evening while some watched football, I blogged, Ella napped, and cleaned up her room. 

Then we played cards for a while before calling it a night.

Sunday, January 12th- 

We got up and headed to church, ate lunch, ran to Ulta and Target.  Then home to get ready for another week. I did a clean sweep of the house, put on a loads of towels to wash, I took a nap:), Ian went to hang out with Hunter, Ella took LB a drink to work and hang out with Peyton. We found out Ella has a digital day today so we did have a lot to prep for her last night! 

We met The Smiths at El Real for dinner at 6:30, got home, chilled, and crashed.
